The End of The World As We Know It

The End of The World As We know It is a brand- new project which looks set to be our most exciting and engaging schools project this year.

Taking place over the course of a normal school day, the challenge seamlessly encompasses the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Enterprise, and tasks the students with a real world scenario- namely The End of The World As We Know It.

As the day begins, the students are informed that the Earth’s remaining reserves of fossil fuels have finally been exhausted and, as a result, the fabric of what we consider normal life has immediately started to crumble. No more light, no more heat, no more iPods. No more anything, in fact, meaning something needs to be done- and soon- before the world falls into total chaos.

As the brightest and most inventive minds in the world, the participates of the challenge will be tasked with creating a brand- new method for locating and retrieving untouched energy sources with which we can sustain ourselves.

Over the course of the day, students will research existing methodologies, moving on to design their own Energy-Seekers, before procuring materials and constructing and testing them as rigorously and as comprehensively as possible. In the concluding phase of the day, students will then market their unique designs by way of a decidedly unusual form of presentation, finally testing their new devices in our scale Earth Core.

Book now to avoid disappointment- it’ll be The End of The World if you miss out!
