The things we do

At Camouflaged Learning we come up with amazing projects for students that will fill their squidgy little minds full of enthusiasm for science, engineering, technology, maths and enterprise and hopefully inspire them to go further into these disciplines as they get older. And we should probably point out at this juncture that if you’re a fan of alliteration, you’re in for a real treat.

Every project that Camouflaged Learning produces is an exciting educational experience that informs, invigorates and inspires students on matters of science, engineering, enterprise, technology, math's, teamwork, communication, design, planning and more, but – crucially – the students who take part don't know that. What the students see is that we have tasked them to undertake a massive, seemingly impossible challenge, and it will make them Lord Of The Playground if they win. Well, that and the prizes. The prizes help too.

And all the time they're focusing on that (and, yes, the prizes), secretly, and without realising it, they're learning. Not just book-learning, though – anyone who knows students knows that’s just a small part of the equation – what the students are learning is far more valuable: life learning. By allowing the students not just to emulate the roles they're playing but to become them, their experiences are more significant. The mistakes, the failures, the embarrassments, the triumphs and the glories become indelible for being real. Really real. And all the while they're focusing on that, they're learning…they just don't know it. It’s so deliciously devious it should be illegal.
